Lugano – BTS has announced the return of its hit web variety series “Run BTS” during a newly released teaser, ending a three-year hiatus and signaling a renewed phase of group activity.
During the teaser, BTS members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, announced that the new season, titled “Run BTS 2.0”, will undergo a revamp, promising new and exciting content for the ARMY community.
“Run BTS 2.0” is set to premiere on April 7 on the group’s BANGTANTV YouTube channel and Weverse.
The revival of “Run BTS” follows the group’s hiatus, during which members fulfilled South Korea’s mandatory military service.
During the hiatus, member Jin led a spinoff series titled “Run Jin”, which aired from 2024 to 2025 after his military discharge, maintaining engagement with fans while the group was on break.
Recent updates indicate that all seven members have now reunited, heightening anticipation for the group’s full return across multiple platforms following the release of their new album “Arirang.”
The upcoming season is expected to reflect this reunion, bringing back the group’s signature chemistry and dynamic interactions that fans have long associated with the series.
The return of the original series now marks a full-circle moment for BTS, aligning with their broader comeback across music, live performances, and digital content.
Originally launched in 2015, “Run BTS” quickly became a cornerstone of the group’s online presence, featuring the seven members taking part in games, challenges, and missions that showcased their personalities beyond music.
The show built a massive global following over the years, with 155 regular episodes released between 2015 and 2021.
The series also includes special episodes released between 2022 and 2023, highlighting the program’s enduring popularity.
More than just entertainment, “Run BTS” has played a significant role in strengthening the group’s connection with its global fanbase.
By offering behind-the-scenes moments, humor, and unscripted interactions, the series has allowed fans to engage with BTS in a more personal and accessible way.
With “Run BTS 2.0,” the group is expected to continue this format while introducing new concepts and challenges, reinforcing its position as one of the most influential acts in global pop culture.
