Casablanca – French-Moroccan actress Lina El Arabi joins the cast of the second season of ‘Citadel,’ set to premiere on Prime Video on May 6.

Produced by the Russo brothers, the series unfolds in a global espionage universe where former elite agents, played by Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, navigate fragmented identities and shifting alliances after the fall of the independent spy agency Citadel.

Season two expands this world further, introducing new layers of intrigue driven by hidden forces, unstable partnerships, and high-stakes missions that stretch across multiple countries, as a growing threat forces the agency to bring in new operatives.

The season is directed by Joe Russo, David Weil, and Greg Yaitanes, with an extensive production team including Anthony Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, Bryan Oh, and others, reflecting the scale of the series’ international production.

The ensemble cast features Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci, Ashleigh Cummings, Jack Reynor, Lesley Manville, Matt Berry, Gabriel Leone, Merle Dandridge, Rahul Kohli, and Michael Trucco, with Lina El Arabi among the new additions joining the expanding storyline.

The actress has built a steady career across cinema and television, with notable roles including her performance in the Belgian drama “Noces” (2017), where she played a teenager resisting a forced marriage, a role that earned her the Valois Best Actress Award at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival.

She later appeared in productions such as “Brutus vs César” (2020) and the Netflix series “Family Business.”

More recently, she gained wider international recognition through her leading role in the action series “Furies” (2024), where she portrayed a young woman drawn into Paris’s criminal underworld following a personal tragedy.

With her arrival in Citadel, El Arabi adds to a growing presence of international talent in the series, marking another step in her expanding work within global productions.
