Lugano–Rising K-pop group CORTIS have released their second mini-album “GREENGREEN,” marking a major milestone in the group’s rapidly growing global presence.
The six-track EP is led by the title song “REDRED,” which was released ahead of the album, making CORTIS the first Korean boy band to debut within the past five years to enter Spotify’s global charts.
The track also maintained a presence on the platform’s daily global chart for nearly two weeks.
The album also includes tracks such as “TNT,” “Acai,” “YOUNGCREATORCREW,” “Wassup,” and “Blue Lips,” showcasing a mix of personal storytelling and experimental sound.
Notably, “TNT” music video was also released alongside the album, featuring a 500-person performance and dynamic visuals.
The track blends an addictive melody with a rough, explosive sound, capturing the group’s intensity and ambition.
Ahead of its debut, the album surpassed 1 million pre-saves on Spotify, while preorders approached 2.4 million copies, putting the album on track to achieve double-million seller status.
According to The Korea Herald, the group plans to release music videos for three additional tracks, “Acai,” “Wassup” and “Blue Lips,” highlighting an ambitious strategy that underscores the growing importance of visual storytelling in K-pop promotion.
The album’s concept centers on contrasting ideas and ambitions, using color symbolism to express the group’s artistic direction, with “green” representing their goals and “red” symbolizing what they reject.
To celebrate the release, CORTIS is hosting a global livestream event in Seoul, where the group will perform all six tracks for fans worldwide.
The strong early performance of the album underscores CORTIS’ rapid rise within the K-pop industry, highlighting how new-generation groups are leveraging global streaming platforms, creative autonomy, and multimedia strategies to expand their international reach.
Debuting just last year, all five members, James, Ju-hoon, Martin, Seong-hyeon and Keon-ho, draw on personal experiences to shape their work, contributing across songwriting, composition, performance and video production.
Their hands-on involvement underscores the group’s identity as a collective of self-driven creatives who operate without fixed roles, blurring the lines between artist and producer.
