Casablanca – Bouznika is getting ready for two nights of music, entertainment, culture on May 16-17 as the first edition of Festival Rimal takes over the seaside city.

In commemoration of Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan’s 23rd birthday earlier this month, the event will take place at the Moulay Rachid Complex in coordination with the Benslimane Province and the Bouznika Municipality.

The idea behind this first edition is to turn Bouznika into a new seasonal meeting point where performance and culture come together in a relaxed, public-facing format.

The lineup brings together several names from the Moroccan music scene, including Dunia Batma, Mouss Maher, Sahar Seddiki, Adel El Medkouri, Statia, and Hatim Idar, among others, creating a program that moves between different styles and audiences.

The program also highlights the diversity of Moroccan music today, bringing together different styles and voices on the same stage, from popular hits to more contemporary sounds, reflecting how the scene continues to evolve across generations and audiences.

Long known as a coastal escape where families gather during the summer months, Bouznika is now adding another layer to its identity, gradually opening up to more structured cultural and live entertainment formats that extend beyond seasonal leisure.

With its first edition, Festival Rimal Bouznika positions itself as a new addition to the city’s seasonal cultural landscape, introducing a format that blends live music, public gathering, and seaside leisure into one shared experience.
