Casablanca – As Mawazine 2026 enters its final stretch, Moroccan singer Douzi has revealed the first guest set to join him during his highly anticipated concert at Moulay Abdellah Stadium on June 26: fellow Moroccan artist Lazaro.
Douzi shared the news through a video posted on his social media platforms, where Lazaro appeared alongside him. As Lazaro’s hit “Zombie” played in the background, the two artists celebrated the announcement, giving fans a glimpse of what could await them on stage.
The singer also suggested that Lazaro may only be the first of several guests. Hinting at additional surprises, Douzi teased the possibility of other well-known names joining him during the concert.
The appearance marks another milestone for Lazaro, who has become one of Morocco’s fastest-rising artists in recent years.
The singer has built a strong following through songs such as “Zombie,” “Mahboul Ana,” and other releases that have accumulated millions of views and streams across digital platforms.
The Friday program at Moulay Abdellah Stadium will also feature Algerian raï icon Cheb Khaled, whose catalogue of classics has made him one of the most influential artists in the Arab and North African music scene.
The following evening, June 27, the stadium will host the festival’s closing concert, featuring Moroccan rapper ElGrandeToto alongside Mourad.
The performances come as Mawazine continues its 21st edition, which opened on June 19 and will run through June 27.
Throughout nine days, the festival has brought together Moroccan, Arab, African, and international artists across multiple stages in Rabat and Salé, showcasing genres ranging from chaabi and “tarab” to rap, pop, electronic music, Afrobeats, and world music.
