Casablanca – British-Lebanese pop star MIKA made a triumphant return to Jazzablanca 2026, delivering one of the festival’s most energetic performances on the Casa Anfa stage.

His appearance marked his second time performing at Jazzablanca after his widely acclaimed concert in 2023, a return many festivalgoers had been eagerly awaiting.

From football heartbreak to a night of celebration

The evening unfolded only moments after Morocco’s World Cup dream came to an end following a defeat to France. The disappointment was palpable across the country, and Anfa Park was no exception.

Many arrived carrying the emotions of a match that had united an entire nation, hoping to end the evening on a different note.

It was in that atmosphere that MIKA stepped onto the stage wearing a sparkling green suit, immediately shifting the energy around Casa Anfa.

His vibrant stage presence, infectious enthusiasm, and unmistakable charisma gradually transformed the mood, replacing silence with applause, dancing, and voices singing in unison.

The MIKA Effect

The singer captivated the crowd with songs including “Relax, Take It Easy,” “Eleven,” and “Modern Times,” quickly turning Jazzablanca into one giant singalong, as festivalgoers danced, clapped, and echoed every chorus back to the stage.

Known for blending exuberant pop with emotional depth, MIKA once again demonstrated why his concerts are as much about connection as they are about music.

Every movement, every exchange with the crowd, and every chorus reinforced the close relationship he has built with Jazzablanca’s audience since his first appearance.

By the end of the night, what began as a concert had become a collective celebration, proving once again why MIKA remains one of the festival’s most beloved returning artists.

The disappointment of the football match had not disappeared, but for the length of MIKA’s performance, music offered festivalgoers a chance to reconnect, celebrate together, and end the night on a brighter note.
