Rabat – After lighting up Casablanca earlier this year, Magic Garden Festival is heading to Marrakech for its second edition, transforming the Palais des Congrès into an immersive world of glowing landscapes and larger-than-life lantern sculptures.
Running from July 20 to August 20, 2026, the indoor festival will welcome visitors every evening from 7 p.m., offering what organizers describe as Morocco’s first immersive light festival.
Created by Public Events, the month-long experience is designed as a family-friendly nighttime attraction for both locals and tourists.
More than 100 handcrafted illuminated sculptures will guide visitors through a dreamlike route inspired by nature.
The exhibition features giant peacocks, stags with glowing antlers, foxes, oversized mushrooms, owls, butterflies, lotus flowers, and other fantastical creations, all crafted using traditional lantern-making techniques.
The immersive journey begins with a monumental floral arch at the entrance of the Palais des Congrès before leading guests through luminous gardens, crystal-lined pathways, artistic projections, and illuminated botanical installations designed to blur the line between reality and fantasy.
Unlike outdoor light festivals, the Marrakech Summer Edition takes place entirely indoors, offering visitors a cool escape from the city’s summer heat.
Organizers say guests are encouraged to explore the exhibition at their own pace, whether for an hour or an entire evening, making it suitable for visitors of all ages.
Following a successful debut in Casablanca, where the festival transformed the Vélodrome d’Anfa into a glowing fantasy world, Public Events hopes to establish the Magic Garden Festival as a recurring cultural highlight in Marrakech’s summer calendar.
