Rabat – Sony Pictures has officially released the trailer for “Jumanji: Open World,” marking the final installment of the rebooted action-adventure trilogy, scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on December 25.

The blockbuster is directed once again by Jake Kasdan.

Flipping the script of the previous films, the new plot brings the danger straight out of the magical video game console and into reality.

Instead of teenagers getting pulled into a digital landscape, the game’s iconic avatars manifest in the real world while trapped in a malfunctioning “demo mode,” causing absolute chaos across city streets, snowy urban centers, and public spaces.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan all return to reprise their roles as the video game avatars.

They are joined by a massive ensemble of returning co-stars, including Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Danny DeVito, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Rhys Darby, Marin Hinkle, and Bebe Neuwirth, alongside fresh additions like Brittany O’Grady and Burn Gorman.

Production on the film was overseen by producers Matt Tolmach, Jake Kasdan, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia, with principal photography running from late 2025 through March 2026.

Moviegoers can expect plenty of signature body-swap humor, high-stakes comedy, and a chaotic conclusion to the modern franchise.
