Casablanca – Moroccan designer Bouchra Filali Lahlou has revealed her Caftan Fall Winter 2026-2027 Collection, and it brings the warm tones and energy of Marrakech into the new season.

Lahlou named the collection “Hamra,” and just going through the pieces, it is easy to see why.

The collection draws inspiration from the reddish hues of Marrakech and the energy they bring with them.

And no, the pieces are not all red. Instead, the collection offers a variety of colors and designs that carry the authenticity of Moroccan attire while giving it a fresh, contemporary feel.

The collection finds a sweet spot between the classic Moroccan caftan and traditional craftsmanship, with touches of modernity that make each piece feel current while staying rooted in its heritage.

A look inside ‘Hamra’

Rich in detail and elegant in style, the collection puts craftsmanship at the heart of its designs.

The first caftan revealed is a striking golden-yellow creation, adorned with traditional Moroccan “Sfifa” trim in silver and intricate motifs woven throughout the fabric. A matching “Mdema” (the traditional Moroccan belt), cinches the silhouette and brings the elegant look together.

Another caftan features a neutral beige base elevated by vibrant, colorful motifs that add rich character to the garment. The piece comes alive with intricate emerald, turquoise, and warm amber-orange beadwork, paired with metallic thread embroidery.

Then comes the all-crimson red caftan, a piece that knows how to make an entrance. Keeping the same deep red shade throughout, the design plays with tone-on-tone embroidery and intricate detailing to create a look that is bold without being overwhelming.

Tone-on-tone crimson thread embroidery runs from the bodice down to the lower skirt panels and around the wide, flared sleeves. The details add rich texture while keeping the striking monochrome palette intact.

And that’s only a glimpse of what “Hamra” has to offer. The collection gives fall and winter a warm, elegant reason to arrive.
