Marrakech – Pikala is rolling out the third edition of Marrakech Bicycle Day on April 13. And trust us, it’s not just a ride, it’s a movement.

Starting bright and early at 8 a.m from Hotel de Ville, this Sunday’s celebration on two wheels is all about rediscovering the Red City from a new perspective — and maybe even redefining what urban life could look like without traffic jams and honking horns.

Remember last year’s buzz? Over 1,000 people showed up, and this year, Pikala is pedaling even harder — aiming to gather 1,500+ riders, dreamers, decision-makers, and everyday people who just believe cities should be friendlier to humans, not just cars.

The bike tour kicks off at 9 a.m., inviting everyone — from seasoned cyclists to once-a-year wobblers — to glide through the city.

No registration, no pressure. Just grab your bike, your sunnies, and your Marrakech spirit.

By 10:00 AM, things shift into community mode at Pikala Village (Al 9aser el Baladi).

Expect workshops, bike repair demos, and fun educational activities that scream, “Yes, we can be sustainable and stylish at the same time.”

And if your luck’s been looking up lately, stick around till 1 p.m for the raffle — someone’s riding home with a free bike.

But this isn’t just about a scenic Sunday ride. This is about reclaiming streets, promoting safer roads, and proving that change doesn’t always have to be loud — it can be smooth, steady, and powered by pedals.

Brought to you with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Morocco, this initiative by Pikala — launched back in 2016 — continues to champion bikes not just as a mode of transport, but as a vehicle for opportunity.

For education. For employment. For a future where mobility doesn’t cost the Earth.

So, if you’re wondering what to do this Sunday, here’s your answer: ride. For fun. For your city. For that glorious post-ride tan. Marrakech is going wheels up — and you’re invited.

See you at the starting line.
