Marrakech – Meknes has become the center of excitement as Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Morocco’s Minister of Tourism, Artisanat, and Social Economy, unveiled Coco Park, the largest amusement park in the country on July 17.
Coco Park delivers a unique, immersive Amazonian experience sprawling over 10 hectares.
Boasting over 50 attractions for all ages, it features arcade games, thrilling rides, and exclusive new attractions, ensuring endless fun and adventure for everyone.
The park also offers a rafting simulator, a 5D cinema, and a 300-meter-long zip line.
Visitors can enjoy spectacular animal shows, numerous activities, and supervised water games, all set within a jungle backdrop and pre-Columbian architecture for an exotic ambiance.
Easily accessible from the highway, Coco Park is set to become a premier leisure destination in Morocco and North Africa.
The park can accommodate up to 7,000 visitors daily and boasts themed restaurants and souvenir shops to enhance the visitor experience.
With an investment of 200 million dirhams, excluding land costs, Coco Park will generate over 480 direct and indirect jobs, further contributing to the local economy.
During the inauguration, Ammor emphasized the importance of the project stating, “Projects like Coco Park are essential for providing quality entertainment that attracts families and leisure enthusiasts, thereby increasing average stay durations.”
She added, “This is a true catalyst for regional economic development. This is why the government strongly supports investment in entertainment through dedicated programs such as Go Siyaha, Moukawala Siyahia, and the new investment charter.”
This new amusement park boosts the attractiveness of Meknes and the entire Fez-Meknes region, enhancing the momentum initiated by the signing of the regional tourism roadmap contract on January 30, 2024.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, this contract includes around fifteen major projects, featuring entertainment initiatives, accommodation projects, and a dedicated marketing and air travel plan for the region.
