Rabat – Egyptian media personality, Reham Saeed, has accused a famous Lebanese cosmetic specialist, of botching a facial surgery, alleging it transformed her appearance negatively.
Riham Saeed is a renowned Egyptian personality and actress. She has participated in numerous television series and hosted several TV programs, including her program “Sabaya Al-Khair,” renowned for its controversial topics.
The cosmetic doctor, whose name cannot be shared, is well renowned in Lebanon.
Saeed says the specialist turned her into a “devil” – even with makeup – due to a facial surgery he performed.
The disgruntled celebrity started the conversation over the incident over a post on Instagram.
Saeed reposted some photos that the Lebanese doctor put up showing two “before” and “after” faces that he claimed were Saeed’s. However, she denied that the “before” picture was even of her.
The media personality argued: “You know what? I’ll sue you and revoke your license because you’re hurting many people.” She went on to say; “You’re the last person who should be a doctor…you made a big mistake.”
Following this, the media personality posted five videos giving further details on the matter.
In the videos, she says that the doctor told her the horrible result was due to the fact that she has had many cosmetic surgeries before. However, she added, “When he came out of the operating room, apparently he knew what he had done or how the result would appear, but he didn’t say anything.”
The media personality directed her comments at the specialist; “Professor -I won’t call you a doctor -I had only one surgery ten years ago when I was very overweight and lost weight.”
The Egyptian media personality warned women against dealing with him, emphasizing that she currently conceals the flaws of cosmetic surgery with makeup. She added that her appearance will not keep her from showing the truth of what happened. r and wrote: “No, I’ll go live and show them what you did. Putting any picture of another girl and saying it’s me?”
In response, the doctor denied what was published about medical errors committed during cosmetic surgery, stating that it was fake news.
In a press release issued through his Instagram page, he said that legal action would be taken against the media personality and the TV station she appeared on, indicating that they would be legally pursued.
He also said that he was in the process of filing a lawsuit against the media personality in Lebanon and Egypt, and against anyone who appears as an accomplice or instigator in the investigation, on charges of damaging his reputation and defamation.
Furthermore, the renowned doctor confirmed that all evidence and proofs would be handed over to the relevant authorities refuting the media personality’s allegations.
Responses to her videos sparked intense debate.
From supporters rallying behind her to others questioning the alteration of God’s creation, opinions varied widely.
On her Instagram posts, supportive users expressed opinions like: “I’m Lebanese and I disassociate myself from what this doctor did to you, I support you and stand by you, may God restore your rights,” as well as, “You’re right about everything. We love you and stand by you. Every word you say is true.” Some users even supported her legal action saying, “File a case against him, don’t let him get away with it.”
However, not everyone was empathetic to the celebrity’s misfortune. Some voiced their disapproval with comments like, “You deserve it for tampering with God’s creation,” and “I wonder why you went to him in the first place if you used to say you were as beautiful as the moon.”
Saeed’s bold stance highlights the importance of transparency and accountability within the cosmetic industry.
