Marrakesh – Today, the 53rd edition of the Festival National des Arts Populaires (FNAP) kicked off with a majestic opening parade.
Starting at 6 PM from Parc Harti, the vibrant procession made its way to the Bahia Palace, setting the stage for a night of musical enchantment.

The streets of Marrakesh were alive with color and rhythm, as various Moroccan music bands filled the air with their captivating tunes.
Performers dazzled onlookers with their outstanding outfits, showcasing intricate designs that paid homage to Morocco’s rich cultural heritage.

The atmosphere was electric, with great vibes resonating through the crowd. Everybody was dancing, caught up in the infectious energy of the festival.
A highlight of the evening was the inclusion of Ahwash, a traditional Berber music and dance performance that added a unique and authentic touch to the celebrations.
At Bahia Palace, multiple bands took to the stage, including Route de la Soie, Ismail Toufga with his Haouzi ensemble, Mohamed El Haddioui’s Daqqa Marrakchia, and Abdellah El Bouhali’s Al Hassadas.

The audience was further treated to the unique sounds of Abderrahim Bani’s Maznia, Noreddine Mouhouche’s Aabidat R’ma, Mohammed Eddarai’s Ahouach Al Haouz, Ahmed Benothman’s Gnawa, and Ali Samoud’s Tbourida Culture Ghiati.
Thousands of people attended, dancing and singing along, fully immersed in the Moroccan vibes.
The joy was palpable as the crowd enjoyed the celebration of their culture.
This event was undoubtedly the highlight of Marrakesh this week, proving once again that the FNAP is a magical fusion of tradition and modernity, bringing people together in a joyful celebration of art and culture.
