Rabat – Sanrio’s beloved Hello Kitty and the iconic American sneaker brand Converse are teaming up again for a playful new sneaker collection launching on March 5, across Converse’s official channels and select retailers online and in stores worldwide.

The Hello Kitty × Converse Chuck Taylor Collection brings together character‑filled designs spanning classic Chuck Taylor silhouettes with a whimsical Sanrio twist.

This includes six different All‑Star pairs, five classic high‑top designs, and one low‑top model featuring all‑over prints of Hello Kitty and her friends.

The high-top pairs feature two all-over print colorways showcasing Hello Kitty and Friends characters, a light-blue Cinnamoroll-inspired design, a picnic blanket print with a family portrait on the side, and the star of the collection: a Swarovski crystal-collaborated pair.

The Swarovski design places Hello Kitty front and center on the lateral side panel with a dazzling mix of silver, red, black, and gold crystals, while the Converse star patch on the medial side is covered in sparkling red crystals, elevating the sneaker into a luxurious collector’s item.

The collection will be available in both unisex and children’s sizing, catering to a wide audience of Sanrio enthusiasts.

Prices range from $47 (MAD 430) for toddler pairs of the all-over print BFFs colorway, to $355 (MAD 3,265) for the Swarovski crystal version.

Standard high-top Chuck Taylor All-Stars in the collection are priced around $75–95 (MAD 690-875 MAD), while character-themed models like the Cinnamoroll pair retail for about $80 (MAD 740).

Hello Kitty, the beloved white cat with her signature red bow, has become much more than a cute character since her debut in 1974.

Created by the Japanese company Sanrio, Hello Kitty has grown into a global phenomenon, influencing fashion, music, gaming, and pop culture worldwide.

From her earliest days as a simple character on stationery, Hello Kitty quickly expanded into toys, clothing, and home goods, capturing the hearts of children and adults alike.

Over the decades, Hello Kitty has collaborated with top brands and designers, including Converse, Swarovski, and luxury fashion houses, turning her into a must-have cultural symbol.

Her presence is not limited to merchandise; she has starred in animated series, video games, and even theme parks like Sanrio Puroland, where fans can experience the character in immersive shows and attractions.

With nearly 50 years of popularity, Hello Kitty is a brand, a lifestyle, and a cultural touchstone.
