Lugano — Moroccan rock band Hoba Hoba Spirit and the Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra announced plans to headline a two-night concert event in Casablanca.
The two acts will perform on May 23-24, at 8:30 p.m., at the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
The concert will bring together two distinct musical worlds, creating a dialogue between classical orchestration and contemporary rock, building a performance that evolves in power and emotion.
Hoba Hoba Spirit’s most emblematic songs will be fully reinterpreted through custom symphonic arrangements, reimagining their body of work while preserving the band’s signature energy.
Through this project, the Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra proposes an encounter where orchestral arrangements interact with dynamic rhythms and modern sounds, offering audiences a new and immersive listening experience.
The collaboration reflects its continued effort to explore innovative formats and expand its reach beyond traditional classical audiences.
By engaging with contemporary artists, the orchestra seeks to open new spaces for musical exploration.
Over the years, Hoba Hoba Spirit has developed a strong and loyal fan base, continuing to perform actively across Morocco and internationally, with scheduled shows this month held in Paris and Toulouse, as well as Marrakech and Fez.
With a nod to reggae, rock, and Gnaoua influences, the band has created a distinctive sound.
Known for tracks such as “Bienvenue À Casa,” “Black Moussiba,” and “Aourioura,” their music combines rock with Moroccan musical influences, connecting with listeners across generations.
By bringing together two major forces in Moroccan music, the concert highlights a broader cultural shift toward experimentation and collaboration, where tradition and modernity intersect to create new forms of artistic expression.
