Rabat – Netflix’s hit series “Lupin” is officially preparing for a fourth season, with filming already underway since May.
The platform confirmed the return of Omar Sy in his celebrated role as Assane Diop, the charismatic “gentleman thief” who has become one of France’s most recognizable fictional characters in recent years.
The announcement has sparked strong excitement among fans worldwide, following the success of the show’s first three seasons.
Netflix teased the new installment with the message “Lupin is back,” fueling anticipation for the next chapter in the globally popular series.
Talking to Netflix, Omar Sy stated, “I always say that Lupin is a wonderful game, and I find great joy every time I play this character.”
The last season
Season 3 ended on a dramatic note, with Assane Diop successfully stealing the “Black Pearl” and winning public sympathy in France, after previously faking his death to save his mother.
However, as threats to his wife, son, mother, and close friend intensified, Assane made the difficult decision to surrender to the police, ending the season behind bars and leaving viewers with major questions about his fate.
The series has established itself as one of Netflix’s most successful non-English-language productions, consistently ranking among the platform’s most-watched titles globally.
Its mix of crime, clever heists, and modern reinterpretation of the legendary literary figure Arsène Lupin has earned it a broad international fanbase.
