Rabat – Moroccan dance school Temps’Danse returned from the Dance World Cup 2026 with historic results, earning Morocco’s first-ever gold medal at the international competition and securing multiple Top 15 finishes across several categories.

Temps’Danse represented Morocco with a delegation of 36 dancers aged between 7 and 24.

The biggest achievement came from senior dancer Youssef Mourahab, who won the gold medal and claimed the world title in his category with a score of 90.9 points. 

His victory marked the first time Morocco has won a medal at the Dance World Cup and the first time the Moroccan national anthem was played during the competition.

Another standout performance came from Chama Benkirane, who finished fifth in the world in the Street Dance category. She also received a Golden Ticket, a distinction that grants selected dancers access to international training workshops.

Temps’Danse also placed in the Top 10 worldwide in the Commercial Group category, while several solo dancers earned scores above 83 points, securing places among the Top 15 in their respective divisions.

The results mark a significant milestone for Moroccan dance, highlighting the country’s growing presence on the international stage. 

Founded by Myriam Bouayad, Temps’Danse has become one of Morocco’s leading dance schools, focusing on developing young talent and preparing dancers for international competition.

“Our mission is to provide young dancers with the training, opportunities, and support they need to perform on the world’s biggest stages and reach their full potential,” Bouayad said.

The Dance World Cup, considered one of the world’s largest dance competitions, brought together nearly 12,000 dancers from around the globe this year. 

The school’s latest achievements reflect years of investment in training and youth development, while reinforcing Morocco’s growing reputation in competitive dance. 

With a historic gold medal now secured, Temps’Danse says it hopes the success will inspire a new generation of Moroccan dancers to pursue international excellence.
