Safi – As the second half of 2026 unfolds, several Moroccan artists are gearing up for major performances across the world.
Five homegrown and diaspora artists are on tour around the world, from right now into 2027.
The duo of Widad Mjama and Khalil Epi wind down a European summer this month. Mjama, a pioneer of Moroccan women’s rap, and Epi, an electronic musician and multi-instrumentalist, reinterpret Aita through modern electronic textures.
Aita is the sung poetry of Morocco’s rural plains, carried for generations by women performers known as cheikhat. Its verses move between love, loss, and defiance.
Four dates remain, from the Festival Músicas do Mundo in Sines, Portugal, on July 24 to the Festival de Hammamet in Tunisia on July 30, by way of Saint-Nazaire and La Courneuve in France.
Born in Morocco and raised in Canada, Faouzia takes her Film Noir Tour to North America next. The singer-songwriter broke out as a teenager with viral vocal covers and has since recorded with John Legend.
After a European run in June and July, she will play 13 North American dates from Detroit on July 28 to Montreal on August 21, with Minneapolis, Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Toronto along the way.
Oum, the Casablanca singer who folds jazz, soul, and Saharan Hassani music into Moroccan roots, spends the rest of the year on her Dialddar tour.
Her dates run from Crozon in France on August 2 through Montpellier, Lyon, and Düsseldorf in September, Biel and Zurich in November, and close at the Zamane Festival in Mhamid El Ghizlane on December 5.
In the fall, Stormy brings his Desperado World Tour to Europe. A prominent voice in Morocco’s new rap wave, he lines up 10 cities from Brussels on October 6 to Amsterdam on November 3, with stops at Paris’s L’Olympia, London, Madrid, Barcelona, and Milan.
El Grande Toto caps the year at scale. One of the defining figures of Moroccan rap, and among the most-streamed rappers in North Africa, he has already sold out Paris’s L’Olympia and filled its Zenith.
His Salgoat World Tour crosses Europe in November, taking in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Berlin, Stockholm, and London, before a finale at the roughly 20,000-seat Accor Arena in Paris on March 27, 2027.
For the rest of the year, Moroccan music is easier to catch in Sines, Lyon, or Amsterdam than in Casablanca.
