Rabat – Morocco’s Centre Cinématographique Marocain (CCM) has officially launched the first 2026 session of its Consultative Commission responsible for reviewing applications for the country’s new professional cinema card.
The session will take place on July 27-28 at the CCM headquarters.
According to a statement from the CCM, the Commission will examine submitted applications and assess whether candidates meet the legal and regulatory requirements to obtain the professional cinema card.
The initiative forms part of the implementation of Law No. 18.23 on the film industry and the reorganization of the CCM.
The review process is also based on Decree No. 2.25.485, which establishes the “Studio” label, regulates the professional cinema card, and defines the categories of professions linked to Morocco’s film industry.
In addition, the Commission will apply the provisions of Ministerial Order No. 2194.25, issued by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, which specifies the list of eligible professional categories.
The CCM said it will send email invitations to the concerned applicants, asking them to attend interviews with members of the Commission as part of the evaluation process before a final opinion is issued on their applications.
