Rabat – After more than a year of building anticipation on some of the world’s biggest festival stages, Italian electronic duo Mathame have officially released their highly anticipated single “Follow,” featuring acclaimed vocalist BONN.

Long before its official debut, “Follow” had become one of Mathame’s most requested unreleased tracks. 

The duo performed the song at major events including Tomorrowland, EDC, Sziget Festival, and UNVRS Ibiza, where audiences began singing along despite the track never having been released.

Built around Mathame’s signature cinematic melodic techno sound, “Follow” pairs soaring production with BONN’s emotive vocals to deliver a track that balances festival-scale energy with an intimate message about human connection. 

The song reflects the emotional storytelling that has become synonymous with the Italian brothers’ work.

“After playing ‘Follow’ on some of the world’s biggest stages, we started hearing people sing it back to us. It was theirs before it was ever a record; that’s when we knew it was magic,” Mathame said in a press statement.

BONN is one of dance music’s most recognizable vocalists and songwriters, having contributed to global hits including Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s “More Than You Know,” Martin Garrix’s “High On Life,” Lost Frequencies’ “The Feeling,” Avicii’s “Freak,” and the late DJ’s posthumous release “SOS.” 

His distinctive vocal performance adds a personal, emotional layer to Mathame’s expansive production.

The release marks another milestone for Mathame, the Italian brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli, who have built an international reputation for blending melodic techno with cinematic storytelling through what they describe as “EmoTech.” 

Drawing inspiration from classical music, hip-hop, and film, the duo create immersive audiovisual experiences that merge music, technology, and narrative.

Their debut album MEMO introduced NEO, a large-scale artistic universe expanded through NEOLOGY, an anime-inspired audiovisual performance that accompanies their live shows. 

Mathame have also pushed technological boundaries with projects such as “Old Neural Mixtape” Vol. 1, an AI-powered experiment developed for Apple’s M1 chip that later evolved into a 3D live production.

From being named creators of BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix of the Year to performing at festivals including Tomorrowland and Coachella, as well as residencies at Hï Ibiza, Mathame continue to establish themselves as one of electronic music’s most innovative live acts.
