Safi – BTS’s Jungkook turned up unannounced at a Stray Kids concert in Seoul, not to perform, but to cheer on a friend. 

He slipped into the crowd, filmed the show on his phone, sang along, and waved a Stray Kids banner with everyone around him.

On July 26, during the second night of Stray Kids’ sold-out RUN IT World Tour in Seoul, he attended the concert to support Stray Kids leader Bang Chan. 

From the stage, Bang Chan noticed Jungkook and gave him a wave. Jungkook returned the gesture with one hand while continuing to film with the other.

Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS and one of the most-followed musicians in the world. That night, he was happy to be just another face in the stands.

Stray Kids rank among the biggest groups in K-pop’s current wave. That made his low-key visit all the more striking.

A friendship years in the making

The two go back a long way. Jungkook and Bang Chan belong to the “97-line,” a group of Korean stars born in 1997. 

The circle also includes SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo and GOT7’s BamBam.

The support goes both ways. Bang Chan had previously attended BTS’s concert in Seoul, making Jungkook’s appearance a return of the gesture. 

Their friendship has long been known for transcending label boundaries.

While idols cheering each other on is hardly unusual, Jungkook quietly joining another group’s crowd, banner and all, quickly became one of the night’s standout moments.

The sunglasses moment

Midway through the show, Felix threw his sunglasses into the crowd. They never reached a fan. They landed with Jungkook’s own staff, who passed them along.

Jungkook burst out laughing, put them on, and danced. Clips of the moment spread across  social media within hours, and fans of both fandoms melted over it.

The Weverse livestream

Jungkook later cleared up the mystery during a Weverse livestream, admitting he had been just as surprised as everyone else. 

According to him, his staff caught the sunglasses first, and even he had no idea how they ended up in his hands.

He also answered the question fans were most curious about: after the show, he returned the sunglasses to Felix.

Small as the gesture was, it was exactly why fans embraced the moment. In K-pop’s fiercely competitive industry, returning a pair of sunglasses felt like a simple act of respect and genuine friendship.

The moment felt genuine, which is why it struck a chord. Rather than headlines about competition or chart battles, the story became one of friendship and a borrowed pair of sunglasses.
