Rabat – Megarama will screen all eight “Harry Potter” films in Casablanca and Rabat from August 28 to September 1.
The cinema chain announced the program on Wednesday as part of the franchise’s “25 Years of Magic” anniversary campaign. Separate promotional posters confirm the screenings at Megarama Casablanca and Megarama Rabat.
The event covers the complete film series, from “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.”
Megarama has promoted the screenings as a five-day event rather than a single continuous marathon, allowing audiences to watch the films across several days.
Marking 25 years since the first film
The screenings coincide with the 25th anniversary of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” which premiered in November 2001.
The film introduced Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. It went on to become the highest-grossing film of 2001 and launched an eight-film series.
Warner Bros. Discovery announced the broader “25 Years of Magic” campaign in January, with anniversary screenings and fan events planned in several markets throughout 2026. The company said the eight films have generated more than $7.7 billion (MAD 71 billion) worldwide.
The Moroccan screenings place Casablanca and Rabat among the cities taking part in the anniversary celebrations.
All eight films return to cinemas
The series spans a decade of releases, beginning with the 2001 adaptation directed by Chris Columbus and ending with “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” in 2011.
The later films were directed by Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell, and David Yates, with the cast expanding to include actors such as Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Ralph Fiennes, Gary Oldman, and Helena Bonham Carter.
