Casablanca – Tayc is heading to Casablanca on October 10 for a special night that brings two generations of francophone music together on one stage at Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche.

The French-Cameroonian singer announced the tour on social media, listing Casablanca as the second date after an October 8 stop in Mauritius.

The tour will then continue through Abidjan on October 11, before returning to the road in December, with dates in N’Djamena, Yaoundé, Libreville, Dakar, Cotonou, and Lubumbashi.

For Casablanca, the date carries an added musical dimension. Tayc will share the stage with Canadian singer Garou as part of the “Unforgettable Show by Exeed,” combining solo performances with duets between the two artists.

The timing also gives Moroccan fans a chance to hear Tayc’s latest material live. The singer released his second solo album, “JOŸA,” in May 2026, introducing a 20-track project that includes collaborations with Masego, Aya Nakamura, Lara Fabian, and RnBoi.

Tayc has built his sound around “Afrolove,” blending R&B with African rhythms and pop influences.

His music first reached a wider audience through songs such as “N’y pense plus,” “Le Temps,” and “D O D O,” while his 2020 album “Fleur froide” helped establish him as a major voice in French R&B.

A deep connection with Africa

His connection to Africa also runs deeper than his musical influences. Born and raised in Marseille in a Cameroonian family, Tayc has often woven African sounds and cultural references into his work, creating a musical identity that moves comfortably between France and the continent.

Now, his Africa Tour places that connection at the center of a run of live performances. Casablanca arrives early in the tour, giving Moroccan audiences one of the first opportunities to experience the new chapter alongside the artist’s established hits.

A meeting of two musical worlds

Garou will host the evening and welcome Tayc for a program that combines individual performances with duets.

The pairing creates a natural contrast. Garou has spent decades on the francophone music scene, while Tayc represents a younger generation that has pushed R&B and African influences further into the mainstream.

For Tayc, Casablanca will be more than another stop on a busy concert calendar. It will mark the early stretch of a tour that takes his music across the African continent, while giving Moroccan fans a chance to hear the sound of “JOŸA” alongside some of his best-known songs.

And with Garou joining him for the evening, the Casablanca date promises a meeting between two different eras of francophone music, brought together for one night on the same stage.
