Casablanca – Tangier Fashion Week kicked off on Wednesday and will run until June 1, 2024, at the beautiful Palais Moulay Hfid. Organized by Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, the event promises to be a vibrant celebration of fashion, culture, and innovation.

According to the event’s press release, Vivienne Westwood, a famous fashion brand known for its unique style, is expected to shine with 10 eco-friendly dresses. Carlo Di Mario, a big name at Vivienne Westwood, will also be there to inspire Moroccan designers.

The press statement urged fashion fans to get ready to be impressed, noting that a line of A-list Moroccan designers are gearing up to steal the spotlight with their trendy, youth-inspired creations that are sure to turn heads. Their fresh designs, mixing traditional Moroccan styles with modern touches, will debut at Tangier Fashion Week, promising an amazing show of creativity and style.

With a drive to showcase Morocco’s unique style and creativity, these designers are on a mission to put their country firmly on the fashion map. Fashion enthusiasts stand ready to be“wowed” by their bold designs and innovative flair.

As Tangier Fashion Week opens its doors, the city is pumped to become a fashion and fun hotspot. Moreover, organizers and  designers are ensuring that the city will not only showcase cutting-edge fashion but also offer a memorable experience filled with fun and cultural enrichment.

And the event’s appeal and reach go beyond Morocco. Designers from France, Italy, Tunisia, Palestine, and Turkmenistan have traveled to Tangier, prepped and ready to bring their own styles and own touches to the event in a cross cultural display of the art.

The fashion school of Palestinian designer Saher Okal, Accademia Di Mode from Nazareth, will also participate, showcasing the global nature of the event.

Not-to-be-missed is the beautiful Moroccan caftan, a key facet in the country’s cultural heritage. Top Moroccan designers like Amina Benzekri and Hanane Oukdim will show off their stunning caftan designs, inspiring everyone who loves the timelessness of this dress.

The Silk Road and Al-Andalus association plays a vital role in Tangier Fashion Week. For more than 20 years, it has been using fashion to bring different cultures together, and has hosted events in various cities worldwide, such as Paris, Marrakech, and Dubai. Their aim is to celebrate diversity and form fresh partnerships through fashion.

Tangier’s Palais Moulay Hfid is the perfect setting for an unforgettable fashion show. The venue boasts  ancient, stunning structures with lovely tiles, lush gardens, and graceful fountains.
