Rabat- In the midst of fierce global competition, Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport has once again asserted its position as a leading global aviation hub.
The airport was honored with five awards on Monday as it secured top positions in the international Airport Service Quality (ASQ) ranking for the year 2023.
Organized by the Airports Council International (ACI), the Airport Service Quality rankings evaluates the quality of airport services across various regions worldwide.
This recognition highlights Casablanca Mohammed V Airport’s commitment to providing exceptional service standards, reaffirming its position as a leading regional hub for air travel.
According to a recent statement from the National Airports Office (ONDA), Casablanca Mohammed V Airport has been reconfirmed as the top airport in Africa within its category for the second consecutive year. This acknowledges the airport’s notable staff dedication and passenger experience across the continent, ONDA said.
The airport has received recognition as the most pleasant and cleanest airport in Africa, reflecting its ongoing commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Each year, ACI presents these honors to top-performing airports based on its Airport Service Quality surveys, which meticulously measure passenger satisfaction across various metrics.

Covering a comprehensive array of relevant indicators spanning from service quality to waiting times, staff courtesy, and facility cleanliness, the ACI surveys’ primary aim is to assess passenger satisfaction, identify their expectations, and benchmark airport performance against international ASQ program participants.
ONDA will receive these highly coveted trophies during the Customer Experience Global Summit and Exhibition, which will be held in Atlanta on September 23-26, 2024.
In the same rankings, Marrakech Menara Airport achieved a significant milestone by being recognized for the first time as the best airport in Africa within its category, according to ONDA.
Both Casablanca Mohammed V and Marrakech Menara airports were recognized as among the best on the continent in the category of airports with between 5 and 15 million passengers per year.
The 2023 ASQ surveyed approximately 600,000 passengers across more than 400 airports worldwide, with over 2,900 passengers surveyed specifically for Casablanca Mohammed V and Marrakech Menara airports.
As Morocco prepares to host prestigious international events such the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, the country’s National Airports Office appears determined to showcase its commitment to enhancing airport service quality to provide an exceptional passenger experience to visitors.
