Lugano – Moroccan-French actress Nadia Farès is currently in critical condition following a serious accident in a swimming pool in the French capital.

According to a report by Le Parisian, the actress was found unconscious at the bottom of a pool in a sports facility in Paris’s 9th arrondissement on April 11. 

Witnesses say she had been swimming before suddenly submerging and failing to resurface for several minutes.

Two swimmers quickly intervened, pulling her out of the water and administering emergency first aid, including cardiac massage, while waiting for rescue teams to arrive.

She was rushed to hospital in critical condition and placed in an induced coma at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital. 

Authorities have indicated that no criminal activity is suspected at this stage, though an investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Her sudden hospitalization has sparked an outpouring of support across social media, particularly in Morocco and France, where she is widely admired.

Born in Marrakech, Nadia Farès built a successful career in cinema, starring in several movies including “The Crimson Rivers,” “Storm Warning,” and “Love In The Strangest Way.”

She later expanded her career across television and international productions, including the series “Marseille” and “Luthe,” further showcasing her versatility as an actress and allowing her to reach new audiences while maintaining a respected and enduring presence in the industry.
