Fez — Moroccan rapper Stormy has taken the rollout of his upcoming album “Desperado” to Tokyo through a new collaborative project with Spotify, turning the preparation phase into a visual and interactive experience for fans.

The project, reported by Billboard Arabia, places the Japanese capital at the center of Stormy’s latest creative chapter. The initiative includes a full week of activities, with filmed content documenting the artist’s work process, daily sources of inspiration, and engagement with Tokyo’s cultural environment.

The campaign is built around “SKI,” a track presented as a key entry point into the album’s visual and musical direction.

Through the project, Stormy is expected to show how the song developed from an early idea into part of the broader creative identity of “Desperado.”

A Tokyo chapter for a Moroccan rap voice

The collaboration reportedly began during a writing camp, where Spotify’s team was introduced to material Stormy was developing. A possible visual concept for “SKI” then drew attention, helping turn the Tokyo idea from an early proposal into a larger production plan.

Fans move closer to the album

The move reflects Stormy’s growing position in Morocco’s rap and hip-hop scene, where digital platforms have played a central role in shaping audiences and pushing artists beyond local circuits.

Spotify’s public artist page lists Stormy with 1.3 million monthly listeners, showing his strong streaming presence and the scale of his online audience.

The Spotify project also gives fans a more direct role in the rollout.

According to Billboard Arabia, one of Stormy’s top listeners from Morocco will be invited to Tokyo to attend a private listening session and meet the rapper before the album’s release.
