Safi – On June 15 at the Order of the Garter ceremony at Windsor Castle, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, appeared in a pale yellow outfit and rewearing her wedding-day earrings while supporting Prince William.
For the occasion, the princess wore a monochromatic pale yellow coat dress by the British designer Patrick McDowell, cut with a classic, flowing silhouette that read as a contemporary take on royal style.
The fabric came from Stephen Walters and Sons, a British heritage textile house, and the dress is priced at $2,672 (MAD 24,775).
A wide-brimmed hat in the same pale yellow as her dress, by Jane Taylor London completed the look from the neck up.
Lower down, she carried a blush suede “Natasha” clutch by Emmy London and stepped out in bisque suede “Gianvito 105” pumps by Gianvito Rossi.
The most meaningful detail sat at her ears: the same diamond earrings from her 2011 wedding day, a gift from her parents.
Designed by the London jewelers Robinson Pelham, the earrings draw on the Middleton family crest, with diamonds set in the shape of oak leaves and acorns inside an elegant pear-shaped frame.
Kate’s history with the ceremony predates her marriage. Her first appearance came in 2008, when William received his knighthood, years before their engagement was officially announced, marking an early sign of her acceptance into the royal family.
