Casablanca – The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned on October 18 with dramatic wings, statement lingerie, celebrity appearances, and live musical performances.

Moroccan-Egyptian-Dutch model Imaan Hammam and Moroccan-Italian model Malika Elmaslouhi were among the faces at this year’s show, bringing Moroccan talent to one of fashion’s most talked-about events.

Moroccan talent on the runway

For Hammam, the show adds another appearance to an already impressive international modeling career.

Born and raised in Amsterdam, Hammam has Moroccan and Egyptian heritage and has become a familiar face on major fashion runways and in leading fashion publications.

With more than 22 Vogue covers, including four US editions, Hammam has built a strong presence in the fashion industry. She has also walked for leading fashion houses such as Chanel, Versace, Givenchy, and Jacquemus, while her work includes campaigns for Victoria’s Secret and a global brand ambassador role with Estée Lauder.

Elmaslouhi has also established herself as a familiar face on the international fashion circuit.

Born in Milan to a Moroccan father and an Italian mother, she made her runway debut for Alberta Ferretti in 2019 before going on to walk for major fashion houses including Chanel, Dior, Missoni, and Ralph Lauren.

Her career also spans editorial and commercial work, with appearances in Vogue Italia, British Vogue, and Vogue Arabia, alongside campaigns for brands such as Calvin Klein, Lanvin, and Zara. In 2024, she appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia, adding another milestone to her growing international career.

Wings, music, and a little extra sparkle

Of course, no Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show would feel complete without its signature wings and elaborate runway looks.

This year’s show brought together established supermodels and newer faces, with performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae, Megan Moroney, and KATSEYE adding a concert-like energy to the event.

The night also marked Kylie Jenner’s runway debut. She wore the returning Fantasy Bra, an extravagant creation made in collaboration with luxury jeweler Jacob & Co. Valued at $50 million, the piece features 4,410 natural diamonds and a 75.54-carat yellow diamond at its center, which took 15 artisans more than 1,000 hours to create.

The Fantasy Bra returned to the runway for the first time since 2018, making Jenner’s debut one of the evening’s biggest talking points.

Between the dramatic styling, musical performances, and star-studded lineup, this year’s show offered plenty of spectacle. For Moroccan fashion fans, seeing Hammam and Elmaslouhi among the models made the night even more exciting.
