Next month’s Club World Cup final promises unforgettable music and football moments in New Jersey.

Fez– The FIFA Club World Cup is getting a major glow-up, and this time, it’s not just about football.

FIFA is officially taking a page from the Super Bowl playbook, adding a high-voltage halftime show to the tournament final, set to take place in New Jersey next month.

In true spectacle style, three global music powerhouses; Colombian reggaeton king J Balvin, genre-defying American rapper Doja Cat, and soulful Nigerian singer Tems will take the stage for a 15-minute halftime show during the final match. Think lights, beats, and billions of eyeballs.

And in case you’re wondering who’s behind this pop-culture-meets-pitch fusion, it’s none other than Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who curated the lineup.

No pressure, but previous Super Bowl halftime acts have included Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd. FIFA clearly wants a slice of that viral moment pie.

This year’s revamped Club World Cup will run from June 15 to July 13, stretching across U.S. cities and featuring heavyweights like Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.

It’s the first time the tournament has been expanded from its modest seven-team format to a full-scale 32-team showdown.

In other words, FIFA is betting big, and not just on football.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino is already setting expectations sky-high. “This show will be unforgettable,” he said, calling it not only a spectacle for the night but a cultural moment with lasting impact.

Whether that’s marketing speak or prophetic insight remains to be seen, but clearly, this isn’t just a match, it’s an entertainment product.

And yes, Lionel Messi fans, you’re covered. The Argentinian legend is expected to play with Inter Miami, bringing his star power stateside once again.

One megastar we won’t be seeing? Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite rumors and various offers, the 40-year-old has opted out.

His contract with Saudi club Al-Nassr wraps at the end of June, and for now, he’s sitting this one out.

So what do you get when you mix football giants, music royalty, and a dose of American showbiz energy?

A final that’s aiming to make headlines, and maybe even history. Let’s just hope the football holds up its end of the bargain.
