Marrakech – The Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Communication has announced that applications for the “Prix Maroc Jeunesse” will be accepted until September 30.

According to the ministry, this prize, launched by the youth department, aims to spark creative competition among Moroccan youth and recognize and encourage the country’s standout talents.

It’s a chance for young people passionate about scientific research, technology innovation, the arts and culture, volunteer work, or ambitious entrepreneurship.

This year’s jury features five committees, each led by experts: Latefa Ahrrare for artistic and cultural creation, Kamal Oudrhiri for technological innovation, Michaël Zaoui for entrepreneurship, Nawal Chraibi for scientific research, and Amina Oufroukhi for volunteer engagement.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three in each category, with amounts of MAD 200,000 (around 20500 USD,) MAD 100,000 (10200 USD,) and MAD 50,000 (5100 USD) respectively.

The ministry is calling on Moroccan youth to submit their applications, with the final deadline to participate on the award’s platform.

The Prix Maroc Jeunesse was approved by the government council in 2023.

This project, introduced by Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Communication, was crafted with a keen focus on the vital role of youth in the  country’s  development priorities.

According to their website, this prize is not just an award but an open invitation for every young person to be part of the country’s success story and showcase their exceptional talents, helping to shape a bright future for Morocco.
