Marrakech – Global superstar Shakira is set to perform her first public concert in Jordan, as part of her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour”, at Ayla Golf Club in Aqaba.
The coastal city will host a spectacular night where Latin-inspired pop hits meet dance and performance art, in what is expected to be one of the largest and most ambitious concerts ever held in Jordan.
Shakira’s setlist will include her iconic hits spanning decades alongside songs from her latest album, complete with signature dance and performance segments.
Tickets go on sale February 2, through official organizers and local partners, with strong demand expected from fans across Jordan and abroad.
The tour, which began in Rio de Janeiro on February 11 of last year, has already generated $327.4 million (MAD 2.97 billion) in revenue from its first 64 shows, becoming the highest-grossing Latin tour by a female artist, the second-highest Latin tour overall, and one of the top ten highest-grossing female tours globally.
Shakira, born in the seventies in Barranquilla, Colombia, is one of the world’s most successful Latin artists.
With multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, Shakira has sold over 80 million records worldwide and is widely recognized for hits like “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Waka Waka” (This Time for Africa), and “Whenever, Wherever.”
Beyond music, she is a philanthropist and activist, founding the Pies Descalzos Foundation, which focuses on education and early childhood development in Colombia.
Her ability to cross cultural and linguistic boundaries has made her a global icon, and her live performances are renowned for their vibrant choreography and interactive energy.
The upcoming concert in Jordan marks yet another milestone in her illustrious career.
