Who Is Charlotte Cardin?
Cardin was born in Montreal and now lives in Paris. She started out as a model at 15, and in 2013 she went on “La Voix,” the Canadian version of “The Voice.” Even though she didn’t win the singing competition reality show, it gave her the exposure she needed to launch her music career and establish herself as an artist.
Her big moment came in 2021 with her first album, “Phoenix”, which received six JUNO nominations and won four, including Album of the Year and Single of the Year for “Meaningless.” The album went Platinum in Canada and made her one of the country’s top pop artists.
Her second album, “99 Nights,” came out in 2023 and helped her reach a wider international audience. In Canada, it won JUNO Awards for Album of the Year and Pop Album of the Year. It also led to a COLORS performance, a spot on Apple Music 1 radio, and a billboard in Times Square in New York.
In late 2024, she released “Feel Good”, which became a big hit in France. By summer 2025, it had nearly 80 million streams in France alone and was close to 100 million worldwide.
In September 2025, she put out “Tant pis pour elle,” a song about revenge, confidence, and standing up for yourself.
Billboard named her Global Woman of the Year in 2025, and in February 2026 she won Female Artist of the Year at France’s Victoires de la Musique. Across all platforms, she has more than 1.36 billion streams.
