Casablanca – Lebanese singer Elissa has finally released her 2024 album “Ana Sekketin” on YouTube, allowing fans to stream the project freely for the first time after nearly two years of waiting.
When the album first came out, it was only available on paid streaming platforms after an ongoing legal dispute prevented it from being uploaded to YouTube.
The dispute, which involved Elissa’s former digital distributor Watary, kept the album off her official YouTube channel despite its availability on platforms such as Anghami and Spotify.
That chapter has now come to an end.
A legal victory
The album’s arrival on YouTube follows a final ruling by the Dubai Court of Cassation, which granted Elissa full control over her artistic and digital rights, allowing her to manage and distribute her work independently.
Beyond its digital release, “Ana Sekketin” also holds special significance in Elissa’s career. The 12-track project became the first album released through her own production company, E-Records, following the end of her longtime partnership with Rotana.
Now that the legal obstacles have been cleared, fans can finally experience the full album on YouTube, nearly two years after its original release.
What’s next for Elissa?
While “Ana Sekketin” is only now reaching YouTube, Elissa has already turned her attention to the future. The singer is currently working on a new album through E-Records, although an official release date has yet to be announced.
At the same time, she continues to meet audiences across the region through a busy concert schedule.
After performing at Rabat’s Royal Theatre on June 20 and Cairo on June 25, Elissa is set to continue her tour with upcoming performances in Beirut on July 28, and Jerash on July 30, alongside several additional dates planned for the months ahead.
