Rabat – Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab has broken her own Guinness World Records record after extending her reign at the top of the Billboard Arabia Artist 100 chart to 42 weeks.
The achievement allows Sherine to maintain her title as the artist who has spent the longest time at number one on the chart.
According to the official Guinness World Records website, the record was updated based on Sherine’s performance across the Billboard Arabia charts.
She remained at the top of the Billboard Arabia Artist 100 for 42 weeks, as of May 30.
Guinness World Records also highlighted the success of her song “Kalam Eneih,” which topped the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 for 19 weeks across six separate periods.
Following Sherine’s latest achievement and her Guinness World Record, composer Medhat took to Facebook to celebrate the milestone, describing “Kalam Eneih” as one of the most prominent works of his career.
Sherine topped the first four editions of Billboard Arabia’s Artist 100 chart following its launch on December 16, 2023. She later returned to the top spot five more times, most recently holding the position for four consecutive weeks.
Nearly two and a half years after the chart was launched, Sherine remains the only female artist to have ever topped it.
Historically, she also ranks second in terms of the number of weeks spent at No. 1, with a total of 42 weeks, behind fellow Egyptian singer Amr Diab, who has spent 64 weeks at the top.
Sherine previously made her way into the Guinness World Records in October 2024 after topping the Arabic edition of Billboard’s charts for several consecutive weeks.
She was recognized under the category of “Longest time at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Arabic Artist chart” after spending 11 weeks at the top of the Top 100 Arabic Artists chart, starting March 16, 2024.
Sherine’s songs contributed to her continued success at the top, including “Al Watar Al Hassas,” “Sabri Aleel,” and “Kalam Eneih.” Amr Diab was the only artist to take the No. 1 spot from her, holding it for three weeks between January 13 and 27, 2024.
The Egyptian singer has recently begun releasing new music, while also preparing for her upcoming concert at Porto Golf El Alamein on August 7, as part of the 2026 summer season.
The latest achievement comes as Sherine Abdel Wahab continues to make her comeback to the music scene.
