Rabat – When the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament concludes on Sunday, July 19, at New York New Jersey Stadium, the winning team will become the first in FIFA history to receive bespoke championship rings alongside the traditional trophy and gold medals.

FIFA announced that the introduction of championship rings marks a first for any competition, borrowing from one of the most iconic traditions in North American sports while creating a new symbol of success for the global game.

The rings will be produced as a limited edition of 2,026 individually numbered pieces, paying tribute to the 2026 tournament.

Thirty custom-made rings will be reserved for members of the victorious team, while the remaining 1,996 will be released as Official Licensed Products, giving fans the opportunity to own a commemorative piece of FIFA World Cup history.

Each ring will feature the FIFA World Cup Trophy on one side, while the opposite side will be customized to represent the identity of the tournament winners.

Every ring will also carry its own individual serial number, be custom-fitted for its recipient, and come with a certificate of authenticity.

Immediately following the final, the winning team’s captain and head coach will receive temporary rings during the celebrations.

The full set of 30 championship rings will then be individually tailored to each recipient before being officially presented at a later date, ensuring a personalized keepsake commemorating their achievement.

The addition of championship rings introduces a new tradition to football’s biggest tournament, complementing the iconic FIFA World Cup Trophy and gold medals awarded to the world’s champions.
