Rabat – Lebanese singer Abeer Nehme opened the 11th edition of the Beirut Nights Festival on July 16, delivering her first-ever performance on the festival’s stage.
The event brought together several prominent officials and guests, including MP Elias Bou Saab, the US ambassador to Lebanon, the governor of Beirut, the mayor of Antelias-Naccache, as well as political, diplomatic, cultural, and media figures.
Nehme delivered a set of her most beloved songs to an enthusiastic crowd that sang and clapped along throughout the evening.
Beyond the music, her appearance carried symbolic weight: taking the stage in the Lebanese capital, she used the moment to affirm her commitment to singing for Beirut, framing her performance as a message of hope and a testament to culture’s resilience.
A surprise duet with Babylon
The night’s biggest surprise came when Algerian singer Amine Babylon Nehme on stage for a duet of his hit song “Ya Zina Ma Drityi Fina..”
The moment coincided with a drone light display that traced the outline of Lebanon and spelled out the words “Lebanon” and “Beirut” across the night sky, echoing this year’s festival slogan, “Lebanon Endures”.
Nehme’s presence on Billboard Arabia charts
Nehme has maintained a presence on the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 since the chart’s launch, with two tracks, “Bsaraha” and “Bala Ma Nhiss,” reaching No.12 and No.13, respectively.
She also currently ranks No.66 on the Billboard Arabia Top 100 Artists chart.
