Rabat – The seventh edition of the Ciné-Plage Festival is underway in Harhoura, where it runs through July 26.
Organized by the Moroccan Association of Art Without Borders (AMAF), the festival offers free open-air screenings of Moroccan and international films, bringing cinema to the beach for summer audiences.
The program features a mix of Moroccan and international films, alongside short films and documentaries. This year’s edition pays tribute to actors Rachid El Ouali, Anas El Baz, and Aïcha Mahmah.
Each evening includes screenings on the beach followed by talks and Q&A sessions with directors, actors, and film professionals.
The festival also includes workshops, master classes, and roundtables on topics such as cinema and artificial intelligence.
The goal of Ciné-Plage is to promote Moroccan cinema and culture while making film accessible to families and young audiences during summer.
The festival is organized with support from the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM) and local authorities in Harhoura.
Now in its 7th edition, Ciné-Plage has become a summer tradition along Morocco’s coast, attracting audiences for free open-air screenings each year.
