Rabat – Disney and TikTok are teaming up on a new global partnership that will bring fan-made short-form videos featuring Disney characters and stories to Disney+.

According to a press release published on The Walt Disney Company’s official website, the collaboration will initially launch as a pilot in the US in the coming months, with plans to expand to other markets.

As part of the agreement, TikTok creators who opt into the program will be able to create short-form videos using assets from Disney’s extensive library of films and series.

Selected videos will appear on both TikTok and Disney+ through the streaming platform’s Verts feature.

The content will span some of Disney’s biggest entertainment brands, including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, FX, and more, giving fans another way to engage with the stories they already follow.

“The best storytellers are fans first,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at The Walt Disney Company.

He described the partnership as a “new bridge” between Disney’s stories and the creativity they inspire among fans.

TikTok’s Global Head of Entertainment, Dawn Yang, also highlighted the role of creators in extending the life of films and television shows.

“Creators are at the heart of everything we do at TikTok,” Yang said, adding that the partnership will bring the platform’s creator-driven fandom to Disney+.

Beyond the content-sharing element, Disney and TikTok will also launch a joint Disney Creator Ambassador Program.

The initiative will give selected creators access to special rewards, increased visibility, exclusive events, and career development opportunities.

The partnership comes as fan-created entertainment content continues to influence how audiences discover movies and TV shows.

According to internal TikTok data cited by Disney, users shared an average of 6.5 million film- and TV-related posts on the platform each day last year.

The companies also cited survey data showing that nearly half of viewers surveyed went on to watch a movie or television show on a streaming service or television after discovering entertainment content on TikTok.
