Casablanca – Moroccan singer Jannat and Egyptian artist Moustafa Amar have announced a new collaboration. The two artists revealed the upcoming duet through a video shared on Amar’s official Instagram account.
In the video, Amar appears at Jannat’s home after she invited him for the ftour meal during Ramadan.
In the beginning of the video, Amar says that he and Jannat will soon release a duet. Shortly after, he adds that he would love to hear the song “Ya Shams Gheeby” in Jannat’s voice. They then begin singing the song, originally performed by Amira and composed by Amar himself.
The post was also accompanied by a caption that hinted at the collaboration. Amar wrote, “Thank you Mohamed and Jannat for the generous invitation. Stay tuned for a duet soon.”
The video quickly attracted attention in the comment section. Many users expressed admiration for the moment shared between the two artists. Others said the song choice brought back memories of a well-known classic.
Another comment praised Amar and described him as a world-class composer. He wrote, “I truly believe that he still hasn’t shown even one percent of his potential yet. There is still so much more to come, and I still want to hear more of his melodies. His compositions have that rare balance of simplicity and depth, playful tunes that reach the heart from the very first listen, because you have a special signature, Amar.”
Jannat also shared part of the same moment on her own Instagram account. In the clip, she sings part of “Ya Shams Gheeby” while sitting next to Amar. In the caption, she wrote, “You honored me with your visit and lit up my home. It was the most beautiful day with the great star Moustafa Amar and his lovely wife Ghada. I love you both very much.”
Before this teased duet, Jannat has already maintained a strong presence during Ramadan this year. Since the beginning of the holy month, she has been releasing a series of songs inspired by the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan.
Among the songs she released are “Ha Kad 3ad,” “Bakhaf,” “Ya Rab Betmana Elreda,” and “Aal Al Beit.” The latest track titled “Saned Khatwety” was released yesterday.
Meanwhile, Amar is preparing another release of his own. He is expected to launch the sixth song from his album “Amar 25,” titled “Hatgheeb.”
