Casablanca – Collectif 4.0 organized the fourth edition of “Morocco, Land of Cultures” yesterday at Casablanca’s Villa des Arts, in partnership with Fondation Al Mada, under the theme “Manga F’lmdina.”
Held on the outdoor esplanade of the venue, the event brought together families for an afternoon dedicated to manga, creativity, and Japanese pop culture, continuing the program’s approach of cultural discovery through hands-on participation.
This edition focused on Japanese artistic expression, turning manga into a shared language of imagination and interaction.
Families moved across different spaces designed for discovery and creation, including manga drawing sessions, origami, calligraphy, and DIY workshops, alongside live caricature illustrations by mangaka present on site.
A key highlight of the experience was the “swap your manga” corner, where visitors exchanged books they had already read for new titles, creating a dynamic cycle of sharing and storytelling.
The immersive journey was extended through a reading area, Japanese games, martial arts demonstrations, and the presence of cosplayers who added a performative layer to the atmosphere.
Children also engaged with face painting activities that allowed them to visually step into manga-inspired characters, reinforcing the event’s playful and interactive dimension.
Designed as a family-friendly cultural experience, the event encouraged participation across all ages, with creativity at its core. With its blend of workshops, exchange spaces, and live interactions, “Manga F’lmdina” offered a collective immersion into a cultural universe where learning and entertainment met naturally.
