Rabat – The Moroccan Cinematographic Centre (CCM) has announced the results of the second session of its 2026 Commission for Support to the Production of Cinematographic Works, awarding financial backing to several Moroccan film projects.
In the feature fiction category, the commission approved advance funding before production for multiple projects.
Among the recipients, director Tarik Rasmi’s “Hors zone,” co-written with El Houssain Chani, received a grant of MAD 3.5 million ($953,029) to support its production.
The feature film “Potes”, written and directed by Hamza Atifi, was awarded the same amount.
Meanwhile, MAD 3.7 millions ($1,007,488) was allocated to “Le Maître,” written and directed by Azlarabe Alaoui.
The projects “Fin Ghadi Bia,” directed by Khalid Brahimi and written by Abdelilah Hamdouchi, “Nour,” written by Mohamed Adam Belarbi and directed by Samia Akkarriou, and “Taâm Al Sarab,” written by Nayma Lamghayfri and directed by Sidi Mohamed Fadel El Joumani, each received MAD 2.8 millions ($762,423).
The Commission also allocated financial support to fiction short films.
The list includes “Enemy Ground,” written by Hassan Benjelloun and directed by Dalal Tantaoui El Iraqi,“Dolomat Talalt,” written by Rachid Aït Louafi and directed by Jihad Fannan,”The Glitch,” written and directed by Abdellah El Mokaddem, and “The Lucky Kid,” written and directed by Oussama Oussous, received MAD 150,000 dirhams ($40,844)
For post-production advances on receipts, the short film “L7or9a”, written by Obeid Allah Hilal and directed by Fatima Aglaz, was granted 70,000 dirhams.
The CCM’s support also extends to the development of new screenplays. A grant of 50,000 dirhams was awarded to the feature film “Children of Wool”, written by Fatima Ali Boubekdi.
With the same amount for “Le Paradis” est sous les pieds des mères, by Aya Moudden, “The Room”, based on a screenplay by Marouane Saheb; “Ibiâat”, written by El Mahjoub Eddoua; and the documentary Karama, written by Fatym Layachi.
Under the screenplay rewriting programme, the Commission granted 50,000 dirhams to “Je m’appelle Zineb”, written and directed by Hassan Benjelloun, as well as to “Ammu Twarigh Mlih”, written and directed by Mohamed Bouzaggou.
The latest round of funding also includes documentaries focusing on Hassani-Saharan culture, history and territory. Pre-production advances on receipts were granted to four projects.
Among them, “Sahaba”, written by Ayach Farhana and directed by Ali Oualdah, received 800,000 dirhams, “Le hennissement de la vallée”, written by Ali Lkabch and directed by Oussama Oussidhom, received 900,000 dirhams.
“Spirit of Life”, written by Abachikh Baali and directed by Lahcen Boujdour, was awarded 800,000 dirhams, and “Byad Triq”, written by Ayoub Largo and directed by Saïd Belli, received 900,000 dirhams.
In the post-production category, the documentary “Mille poèmes”, written by Youssef Hassik and directed by Faras Ali, was granted 700,000 dirhams.
Finally, the Commission awarded 50,000 dirhams each to the documentary screenplay rewriting projects “Nawazil”, written by El Khalil El Oiaar and directed by Mbarek Largo, and “Timirert”, written by Slima Amraz and directed by Cheikh Aaddah.
