Rabat – Blackpink member Jennie is preparing to release her first solo EP by the end of August, according to an announcement from her self-established agency, OA Entertainment, on Tuesday.
“Jennie is getting prepared for her comeback, aiming to release her new EP by the end of August,” the agency said in a statement.
Throughout the summer, Jennie has been showcasing new material at major music festivals. She performed at The Governor’s Ball Music Festival in New York on June 7, and at Rockilde Festival in Denmark on July 3 and Open’er Festival in Poland on July 4.
Jennie’s solo career began in November 2021 with the release of her first solo single, “Solo.” She expanded her solo discography in March 2025 with her first full-length album, “Ruby.” The upcoming EP represents her next chapter as a solo artist while she continues her work with Blackpink.
OA Entertainment, which Jennie established herself, has been managing her solo career trajectory. The agency’s announcement of the August release window provides fans with a concrete timeline for the new EP, though a specific release date has not yet been confirmed.
With the digital single “Less than a Lover” already available and festival performances introducing “Fallen Angel” and “lockitdown” to audiences, the EP is expected to compile and potentially expand upon this material. The exact tracklist and additional details about the project remain to be announced.
Jennie’s solo endeavors have allowed her to explore different artistic directions while maintaining her presence in Blackpink. The upcoming EP continues this pattern, offering fans new music from the artist during a busy period that includes both group and individual projects.
The end-of-August target gives Jennie and OA Entertainment a defined release window, though industry observers will await official confirmation of the specific launch date and complete project details in the coming weeks.
