Fez — Nora Fatehi is returning to Moroccan musical roots for her next single, teaming up with Gnawa maâlem Hamid El Kasri and producer Mohcine Tizaf.
Fatehi shared a first glimpse from the music video set today, confirming both El Kasri and Tizaf as collaborators on the project.
The title and release date remain under wraps, but the pairing already points toward a meeting between Fatehi’s global pop style and one of Morocco’s most recognizable traditional sounds.
El Kasri has spent decades carrying Gnawa music across Moroccan and international stages. Born in Ksar El Kebir, he began learning the tradition as a child and became known for his deep voice, guembri playing, and ability to move between northern and southern Gnawa styles.
A familiar creative connection
Tizaf’s involvement also gives the project another link to Fatehi’s previous Moroccan work.
He collaborated with her on the Arabic version of “Dilbar,” alongside Fnaïre, and later contributed to “NORA,” Fatehi’s 2024 track blending Moroccan references with contemporary pop.
Fatehi has continued expanding her music career throughout 2026. She released “Champions (Fi Kol Makan)” during the FIFA World Cup period before following it with “Slay to the Rhythm” in July.
Her latest project, however, places Morocco more directly at the center.
With El Kasri bringing the weight and pulse of Gnawa and Tizaf returning as a familiar creative partner, the upcoming single brings together three Moroccan musical identities shaped by very different paths.
For now, Fatehi is keeping the finished sound out of view. The footage from the set offers only the first sign of what the collaboration may become, leaving the music itself for the next reveal.
