Rabat – Moroccan brides have used century-old rituals and recipes to perfume their bodies. Here’s how you can do it today, for a fragrance that speaks before you do.

First step: A Moroccan bath to prepare the skin

Soak your Kessa glove in hot water.

To open up the pores, start by massaging your body with black soap. You can use an olive-based soap or other varieties like Nila Powder Black Soap for brightening, Akker Fasi lipstick for plumping, or Lavender Black Soap for relaxing the muscles. Leave the soap on your skin for 10 minutes.

Next, apply a herbal mask known as the Moroccan Tabreema, which is made from a blend of herbs including turmeric, quasil, chamomile, rose petals, cloves, tetraclinis, lavender, rosemary, eucalyptus, clay, and nila.

This powerful combination helps to achieve a smooth and glowing skin and thoroughly cleanse the body. Add water to these ingredients to form a paste-like mixture.

Apply a generous amount evenly across the whole body, rinse, and then exfoliate using the Kessa glove.

Second step: perfuming bath

Use a body wash with a scent that you love, something like white musk, baby powder, or Jasmine. One that is gentle and appealing that’ll spread into the air.

After shower, apply lotion to enhance the scent of the body wash or use a lightweight body butter.

If you prefer a more traditional approach that stands the test of time, consider igniting your senses with a blend of musk and a beautifully moisturizing oil, such as sweet almond oil or pomegranate oil. You can also add baby powder to this mix.

Apply it all over your body, focusing on your pulse points, including your collarbone, underarms, and inner thighs.

Layering tip: Choose two of your favorite perfumes that blend beautifully together, and create a unique fragrance that’s distinctly yours! Mix and match to discover a delightful combination that enchants the senses and adds a personal touch to your scent.

For your hair: perfume your hair using a hair perfume on the back of your hair and the ends.

And lastly, to elevate your ritual and enhance the smell fresh effect: prepare yourself a Moroccan mint tea, add in it cloves, its antibacterial effects reinforce post-bath freshness, and Saffron, known to promote relaxation and skin glow, let it sit for 30 minutes and enjoy.
