Safi – Let’s be honest: nothing kills a good Pilates high like a top plastered to your back by the second set.

In Morocco’s heat, your outfit is working as hard as your core, and the right one keeps you cool, comfortable and looking cute right through the last stretch.

And no, it doesn’t all have to be black.

Pick the right fabric, lean into color the smart way, and a bright Pilates outfit will hide sweat just as well as your trusty black leggings.

Fabric is your best friend

This is the one that really matters in the heat. Reach for moisture-wicking synthetics, usually polyester or nylon with a touch of elastane, that pull sweat off your skin and dry in a blink, so nothing stays damp against you.

Cotton, sweet as it is, does the opposite. It drinks up every drop, clings, and dries slowly, which is how a cotton tee turns into a sponge by minute ten.

Thin, breathable knits marked quick-dry are the ones you want; anything thick and heavy is not.

Let color do the hiding

Sweat loves a pale, flat color, and it adores heather gray, which goes a shade darker the second things get damp.

Deep tones keep your secret: black, sure, but also navy, forest green, plum and chocolate.

Prints and color-block panels are the sneaky heroes here, breaking up the surface so a busy pattern reads as design, not drama.

This is where summer brights get to play: a punchy cherry red or cobalt hides sweat far better than a washed-out pastel, and a good print hides it almost as well as black.

So go ahead and wear the color; your Pilates outfit just has to skip the pale and the flat.

Cut it to move

Fit decides how the clothes move with you and how much air gets in. A fitted, seamless legging and a long-line bra stay put through the springs and straps, and seamless knits are kinder to your skin when you sweat.

For airflow, hunt for mesh panels, a racerback or a pretty open back, and a high waist that stays where you put it.

Capris and the looser gaucho cut are lovely here too: they breathe more than full-length leggings and keep the heat off.

Pack for after

No one here is heading out in a sweaty set, and thank goodness. Your Pilates outfit is for the studio; after class comes the shower and a fresh change.

So build the gym bag to match: grip socks and a headband to get you through the session, then a towel and something you actually want to change into.

A quick-dry set earns its keep here too, drying off in your bag while you get on with your day.

Look good right through the last stretch, then hit the showers, because that set is not coming to lunch.
