Casablanca – US-Dutch-Palestinian model Gigi Hadid joined the Tommy Hilfiger runway, opening the brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 show at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan on September 10.

Hadid stepped out in loose reddish trousers cinched with a black belt, paired with a tan suit jacket and a white shirt. She finished the look with a navy bucket hat, adding an easy, street-style touch to the tailored outfit.

She was joined by a star-studded cast of models who brought different takes on Hilfiger’s latest vision. The runway mixed classic preppy pieces with sporty silhouettes, bold colors, oversized polos, rugby shirts, letterman jackets, and plaid bucket hats.

A special return to the Plaza

For Hilfiger, the location was far from random. The designer and his wife Dee, once called The Plaza home for around 10 years, making the show something of a personal homecoming.

The collection also played with that sense of nostalgia. Hilfiger revisited his signature Americana style while giving it a younger feel under the idea of “Prep Made Current.”

The show brought plenty of star power beyond the runway, with celebrities including Kate Moss and Camila Cabello among those in attendance.

A lively soundtrack and a performance by Slayyyter added to the show’s fashion-meets-entertainment energy.

For Hadid, opening the show added another memorable chapter to her long relationship with the American label. Their partnership runs deep, standardizing her place at the heart of the brand since she servedTommy Hilfiger’s global ambassador back in 2016.

For Hilfiger, bringing his latest collection to a place that once felt like home made the return to New York Fashion Week even more personal.
