Fez — Some actors spend years waiting for one franchise, one hit sitcom, or one Steven Spielberg movie. Crystal the Monkey, at 32, has somehow collected all three.

Born in May 1994, the capuchin began her screen career in 1997 with “George of the Jungle.” Nearly three decades later, her résumé includes blockbuster comedies, television series, prestige drama, and enough famous co-stars to make an awards-season seating chart nervous.

She played Dexter opposite Ben Stiller in the “Night at the Museum” films, joined Bradley Cooper and company in “The Hangover Part II & III,” and appeared alongside Matt Damon in “We Bought a Zoo.”

Then came Spielberg. Crystal portrayed Bennie in the director’s 2022 semi-autobiographical film “The Fabelmans.”

Michelle Williams was impressed. “Crystal is a mega star, she can do anything,” Williams told Entertainment Weekly after working with her.

Honestly, that is not a bad reference to have.

A Hollywood career with serious range

Crystal’s television work is similarly eclectic.

She played Dr. Rizzo in “Animal Practice” and appeared in “Community” as Annie’s Boobs, a character name that sounds considerably stranger without the context of the show.

Her more recent credits include “The Fabelmans” and the Apple TV+ series “Bad Monkey.”

But the obvious question remains: just how ridiculous is this résumé compared with everyone else’s?

MWN Lifestyle Magazine decided to do the math.

How we calculated Crystal’s IMDb bragging rights

To see how Crystal’s career compared with other performers, MWN Lifestyle magazine downloaded IMDb’s public data on September 14, 2026.

We analyzed more than 101 million credit records and isolated entries for actors and actresses appearing in films, TV movies, television series, and miniseries released by the end of 2025.

For television, we counted an entire series as one production rather than counting every episode separately. We also removed duplicate credits so the same performer and production could not be counted twice.

That left 2,170,321 performer profiles in our comparison. Crystal had three productions recorded in the particular IMDb dataset we analyzed: “Community,” “Animal Practice,” and “Gibby.”

Of the 2,170,320 other performers, 1,665,772 had fewer qualifying credits than Crystal. Another 122,454 had the same number, while 382,094 had more.

The math was simple:

1,665,772 ÷ 2,170,320 × 100 = 76.75%

That means Crystal had more recorded credits than 76.75% of the other performers in this specific comparison.

There is an important catch.

IMDb explains that its public data includes only a selection of major cast and crew credits rather than every credit in every performer’s career.

That is especially noticeable with Crystal. The dataset counted only three of her productions and missed major films including “Night at the Museum” and “The Hangover Part II.”

So the 76.75% figure does not mean Crystal definitively has more credits than three-quarters of all actors on IMDb. It only describes what we found using this particular public dataset.

If anything, the missing credits make the result funnier: even with some of her biggest movies absent, Crystal still outranked nearly 77% of the performers in our comparison.

Recent August 2026 coverage says Crystal is retired and now lives in Los Angeles County with her longtime trainer Tom Gunderson, alongside another capuchin, dogs, a cat, and horses.
