Fez — Filming is set to take place over the coming months in Marrakesh, Casablanca, and Tangier. According to production sources, Tangier will double as Beirut, while other Moroccan sites will stand in for locations in Syria and Eastern Europe, showcasing the country’s versatile landscapes and urban backdrops.

Morocco has been a hotspot for film sets in recent years. Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film “The Odyssey” and George Clooney’s “The Agency” are also set to film in Moroccan locations.

Morocco has hosted some of Hollywood’s most ambitious productions, including “Gladiator II” and “Mission: ImpossibleRogue Nation”. Later this year, Netflix is also expected to shoot its highly anticipated spinoff of “Extraction, starring French-Senegalese actor Omar Sy.

Industry experts often cite Morocco’s diverse geography, competitive production costs, and skilled local crews as attractions for filmmakers. 

From historic medinas to desert landscapes, the country is a cinematic canvas  for directors seeking authentic yet flexible filming environments.

Beyond the glamour of Hollywood stars, Morocco’s film industry continues to bring tangible economic benefits. Large productions generate jobs, support local artisans, and promote cultural tourism, strengthening the Kingdom’s soft power on the world stage.
