Marrakech – Karim Ghajji continues to dazzle on the global stage, defending his Wako Pro (-78 kg) world title with a triumphant victory over Spain’s Alex Fernandez. 

The Franco-Moroccan kickboxer clinched the win by unanimous decision after an electrifying five-round battle, adding another gold star to his impressive collection of 16 world titles.

“This world title is the result of solid preparation and the incredible support from my coaches. I dedicate it to the Moroccan people,” statedGhajji to MAP.

He couldn’t be prouder, especially since this win came against a nearly unbeatable kickboxer.

Under the banner of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Kickboxing and Muay Thai and Wako Pro Mondial, in collaboration with Boxing Event, the gala night featured a knockout lineup of eight fights, including five international bouts. 

Moroccan kickboxers stole the show, securing victories in three of the international matches.

The curtain-raiser fights at the gala night delivered some thrilling action.

In the -81 kg bout, Anazad Youssef delivered a stunning knockout in the second round against Ilyass Salas. 

In the -75 kg category, Hamza Sabri edged out Tahiri Othmane with a decisive points victory.

Meanwhile, in the -91 kg clash, Brahim Boudik secured a win by points over Sajaaeddine Amine. 

The local fighters made sure to start the evening on a high note.
